A significant up date today as section 4 Miltown to Moyasta contracts for the proposed West Clare Greenway were signed today.
Phase 1 Kilrush to Kilkee while is has been somewhat delayed due to updates in the Greenway code of practice the good news is that the project is still progressing.
It is hoped that the route will be finalised early 2024 with plans being submitted in the first half of 2024.
This will be a significant project for West Clare and County Clare. Cllr. Cillian Murphy have worked together with the Project Management Office at Clare County Council Lead by Seán Lenihan. Senior Engineer Capital Projects and project lead Grainne Redden. Both have ensured the project remains a priority but also making sure that communications with landowners are maintained.
Looking forward to see the project progressing to the next stage.
